Course Objectives:

This course will provide the student with a fundamental base in international marketing and its application to international business. The focus of the course will center on marketing theory coupled with practical steps that can be incorporated into any business that has international dealings. Cultural differences and preconceived biases will be explored and a step by step international marketing plan will be explored in this course.

The textbook that will be utilized in this course is titled "A Short Course in International Marketing" - WorldTrade Press - ISBN #: 1885073526

Course Requirements

There will be two exams, one a Midterm exam and the other a Final exam. Each exam will be essay and will focus on the material outlined in the textbook. The exams are expected to be completed no later than the last day of the week on week five and the last day of the week on week eight respectively.

There will also be written assignments required for this class and each of these written assignments are developed from material in the textbook. It is hoped by completing these written assignments, that the student will be provided additional insights into the course materials and will provide excellent study tools for both the Midterm and Final Examinations. Each written assignment should adequately demonstrate that the student has a solid understanding of the materials presented in the text.

Week Three: Written Assignment #3 - Covering Chapters 6 & 7

Week Five: Week Six: Written Assignment #5 - Covering Chapters 10 & 11

Week Seven: Written Assignment #6 - Covering Chapters 12 & 13

Week Eight: No written assignment - Prepare for Final Exam
