Course Overview:
This course is designed to give the student a comprehensive view of Commercial Property Risk Management and Insurance. It will examine Property Risk Management, Property Risk Control, Building and Personal Property Coverage Forms, Building and Personal Property Coverage Options, Causes-of-Loss Forms, Other Commercial Property Coverage Forms, Flood, Earthquake and Specialty Insurance, Business Income Loss Exposures, Business Income and Extra Expense Insurance, Inland Marine and Ocean Cargo Insurance, Crime Insurance, Equipment Breakdown Insurance, Businessowners and Farmowners Insurance, and Surety Bonds.

Week 1: Read Chapters 1 & 2 in text. Complete Matching Exercise
Week 2: Read Chapters 3 & 4 in text. Complete Matching Exercise
Week 3: Read Chapters 5 & 6 in text. Complete Matching Exercise
Week 4: Read Chapters 7 & 8 in text. Complete Matching Exercise

Week 5: Review and Mid-Term Exam: Multiple Choice covering Chapters 1 through 8.

Week 6: Read Chapters 9 & 10 in text. Complete Matching Exercise
Week 7: Read Chapters 11 & 12 in text. Complete Matching Exercise
Week 8: Read Chapters 13 & 14 in text. Complete Matching Exercise
Week 9: Read Chapters 15 in text. Complete Matching Exercise

Week 10: Review and Final Exam: Multiple Choice and True-False covering all Chapters and Material.

All assignments must be submitted to the instructor no later that 5 PM (CST) on each Sunday of the week.

Grading: 20% of the grade will come from the weekly assignments and 80% from the Mid-term and Final exams, equally.
