COURSE DESCRIPTION

This introductory class will briefly cover such topics as security concepts and mechanisms; security technologies; authentication mechanisms; mandatory and discretionary controls; basic cryptography and its applications; intrusion detection and prevention; information systems assurance; anonymity and privacy issues for information systems.
