Course Description:

A comprehensive survey of city, state and federal law enforcement agencies with an emphasis on rolls and functions (law enforcement, order maintenance, public service) and responsibilities (constitutional rights and community relations) including organizational and management aspects.

Course Requirements:

The final grade will be based on scores derived from on-line, open-book quizzes.

Academic Dishonesty:

Any form of academic dishonesty is regarded as a very serious violation of college regulations. Any student suspected of engaging in such activity will be subject to the full set of procedures set forth by the college.

Testing:

Students must take a twenty question multiple-choice quiz (timed: 50 minutes) after completing two chapters of the material; there will be seven open-book quizzes. Students will have to take a fifty question, multiple-choice closed-book midterm (timed: two hours) and a fifty question, multiple-choice closed-book, noncumulative final term (timed: two hours).
