Description

This course considers show the individual is acted upon by the criminal justice system’s laws, what the individual’s rights are and how various procedures affect the application of those rights and laws.

Welcome

Welcome to the course everyone! I look forward to a rewarding and interesting time with all of you.

I urge you to read and re-read the syllabus and to poke around in the course site to become familiar with the landscape.

It's particularly important to have a backup plan in case your primary computer or your ISP experiences trouble.

Regular, timely participation in any and all asynchronous discussions that may be assigned is crucial to the success of the course. It’s best not to reply with just an "I agree" or a one-liner. Please make a concerted effort to eliminate those replies as they take a lot of time to open up and there's little content in them. People on slow connections are particularly frustrated at these posts.

Assignments are normally due weekly. The week begins on Monday and ends on Sunday. If you need more time to complete the assignment, please ask and under almost every circumstance, you’ll be accommodated.

I suggest you may want to print out or electronically save all the course materials that may be of present or future use to you.

I’ve facilitated 148 online courses in several disciplines and I look forward to working with you, learning a lot, applying old and new skills and having a little fun, too.

Kind regards,
Dick Healy
