Certificate in Global Management
The global business environment has increasingly influenced our professional, business and personal lives. This phenomenon has been "turbo-charged" since the mid-1990 due to the skyrocketing popularity of the Internet. It can make any company, no matter how small, a global company, instantaneously.
Unfortunately, many people finished their studies before this phenomenon occurred, and so they have heard of globalization but they are not sure exactly what it is and how it affects them. The key to staying current with today’s business environment is to understand domestic and global business practices and strategy. This is a results-driven certificate program designed to do just that.
This certificate is a program that breaks the Global Management subject into its three main components: Cultural and Country study, International Business theory, and Global Business Strategy application and implementation.
It starts with Cultural Awareness in Business (BU363), an easier undergraduate level class, which is applicable in the new domestic workplace as well as the international workplace.
The second class is International Business (BU430), a senior level undergraduate level class, which explores all the aspects of International Business today.
The final course is a graduate level course in which the student studies all the issues in Global Strategy Management (BU553) and writes a Global Strategy Project for the business or industry of their choice. This project is ready for implementation in the real world as soon as the final class is finished.
Together these three classes give an outstanding understanding of Global Business and how it relates to your world with a real life project plan to implement upon completion of the program.
