GENERAL COURSE DESCRIPTION:
This course is focused on the laws and regulations of Casino Operations. During this course, students will learn
about how and why laws were designed to regulate casinos.
COURSE OBJECTIVES:
Upon successful completion of the course, the student will be able to:
- Understand the history and development of gaming laws.
- Understand the importance of gaming licenses and adhering to state laws and regulations.
- Explore the theories and beliefs of public attitudes towards gambling.
- Identify and understand the various types of policy models in the gaming industry.
- Understand the investigative process of the gaming industry.
- Identify types of casino crimes and apply appropriate disciplinary actions.
TIME FRAME FOR THIS COURSE IS EIGHT (8) WEEKS
METHOD OF INSTRUCTION
HT394 is a partially self-paced distance learning course offered through Canyon College. At the beginning of the
course, each student is required to submit to the instructor via e-mail a short biography, which includes the
following information:

- Work experience
- Educational background
- Course expectations

COURSE ASSIGNMENTS
At the undergraduate level, students are expected to have an advanced writing style. All written assignments must
be typed on a computer in an organized format of your choice as long as it is appropriate for the information being

affects the individuals of its city, especially minors outlook, and the economical structure of its city.

Writing Assignment:
In your own words, describe the Capture Theory and the Multiple Interest Theory.
