Course Description:

In this course, students will examine those factors (economical, political, social) that shape doing international business. By looking at the world’s three major legal systems, students will engage in a systematic analysis of political systems and the world, the political and governmental structures of other nations, and some of the cultural pitfalls the American who does business abroad may encounter. Lastly, attention will be paid to the settlement of transnational legal disputes by legal action.

Testing and Grading:

Grades of will be assigned as follows:

Students need to take a twenty-question, multiple choice, open-book quiz after every chapter. These will constitute 70% of a student’s grade.

Students will have an open-book test on the materials on chapters 1-11 and an open-book test on chapters 12-22. These will constitute 30% of a student’s grade.
