GENERAL COURSE DESCRIPTION: Political Psychology & Survey Experiments is designed to promote students' understanding of the theories of political psychology, including information processing, persuasion, opinion formation, and the role of emotions in political evaluation. The course also covers the methodology of survey experiments.

COURSE OBJECTIVES:
  1. Understand the relationship between politics and psychology.
  2. Develop an overview of the concepts, methods, and debates which characterize the field of political psychology
  3. Understand the main areas of political psychological inquiry
  4. Be able to analyze political figures, events, and situations from a political psychological perspective
  5. Understand the use of surveys in political scientific research

Exam 4 covers Chapters 17 – 20
