Course Objective:
Upon completion of this course, the student will have an understanding of human development over the life-span from conception to death. The student will learn about the three major developmental stages which include child, adolescent and adult development. In these developmental stages the student will learn perspectives on development for each age group; physical development; cognitive development; emotional development; social development; and the final stage of adult development, death.

Method: Human Growth and Development will include:
  1. Reading assignments
  2. E-mail correspondence one-on-one with the instructor at least once during the eight week course
  3. Message board participation for group and individual questions and discussions
  4. Exams: Midterm and Final - each 50% of grade.
