Additional Information
Final Paper

There will be a paper due at the end of the course, or may be turned in early. The objective is just for you to use the information you have learned regarding Munchausen by Proxy in the text and apply it to a case. You may select a case that you currently have, have had in the past, a case from the text or simply make up one and discuss the process in which you would assess the case for Munchausen by Proxy and how you would handle it (identification, intervention and case management and referrals). Another option is to interview a therapist that has experience working with Munchausen's or a Child Investigative Worker (called different titles depending upon where you live) and report on their process of identifying and working with MBP or lack thereof. The paper should be at least 3 pages in length and should use at least 3 resources. The paper will not be graded based on length, however will be graded on content and demonstration of your understanding of this often misunderstood type of abuse. Please email me with any questions.
