Course Objective:
Upon completion of this course, the student will have an understanding of Macro Social Work
Practice within social service programs and ways they can be planned to make them effective.
This course will also assist the student with learning ways in which social programs and the
delivery of social services have been proven effective in achieving positive changes in the lives
of the clients they serve.
Course Purpose:
This course is designed to provide students with a working knowledge and increased understanding
of how effectively designing and managing social service programs help clients with their
development while providing them with an open problem-solving and supportive environment.
Method:
Assigned reading assignments
E-mail correspondence one on one with instructor at least once during the eight week course.

Message board participation for individual and group discussions are available upon request.
Class room (chat room) discussions are also possible if desired.
Exams: Midterm and Final exam's are each worth 50% of the course grade.
