Prerequisites:
  • Applicants should possess a Bachelors degree, preferably in the Social and Behavioral Sciences
  • Submitted transcripts (Bachelor) should reflect an over-all GPA of 2.5 or higher
  • Applicants not meeting these requirements may be accepted on an individual basis.
Requirements:
  • The counseling program requires completion of a minimum of 39 credit hours
  • A 3.0 grade point average must be maintained
  • Core Courses: 33 credit hours - Listed, or approved equivalent courses
  • Electives: Minimum 6 credit hours - Listed or approved equivalent courses
  • If internship is elected: Satisfactory grade of "S" for performance
  • Students may be required to purchase Risk and Liability insurance for internship
Substitute credit sources
  • Transferable credits (accredited) - courses with 3.0 or above
  • Life Credits (APPLE Form - Assessment Portfolio of Previous Life Experience)
