Strong knowledge of most productivity packages including all MS Office products,
major graphic design programs including Photoshop. Light programming skills. Experience in
developing comprehensive business plans, spreadsheets, and databases.
Web-specific skills
Familiar with server administration fundamentals. Know HTML, HTML
ditors, familiar with Java, JavaScript, Flash, Shockwave, database integration, etc. Fully
familiar with Ecommerce solutions. Have conceptualized, planned, and project managed many 300+
page web sites. Experience with business-to-business as well as business-to-consumer Ecommerce
systems. Very familiar with email marketing, techniques, legalities, tracking, closing, etc.
Visual arts
Understand the importance of graphic design on the Internet. Familiar with

Marketing/PR

Also conceived, planned, developed all content for, and negotiated strategic partnership agreements for several successful web sites. Develop and administer marketing and promotional plans for client sites. Manage staff of designers and programmers to translate client's specific needs and desires into attractive, user-friendly web pages. Promote websites on search engines and through traditional and non-traditional channels. Won numerous awards for design and functionality. Have strong vision of the future of Internet Ecommerce. (Converted the former “Marketing Group” into Internet-based company when the web’s full potential was foreseen.)

1990 to 1995
The Marketing Group – Principal
President
Full-service marketing, advertising, and PR firm. Provided marketing services to major national corporations. Involved in technology transfer projects with companies in Oak Ridge, TN and Huntsville, AL. Developed national ad campaigns, produced television commercials, for a variety of national and regional clients. Also developed and implemented a number of client call centers. Was integral element of marketing department for all clients.
Accomplishments:
- Handled public relations for the National Interfraternity Conference and National
Panhellenic Conference, of Indianapolis, IN.
- Managed marketing function for several regional and national companies, including
Bradley Candy, HIS/Chic Jeans, Insulspan Systems, and USA Laboratories.
- Assisted in numerous import/export projects to and from Brazil, Sweden, and Europe.
Traveled to Brazil to cement trade relationships.
1987 to 1990
Matlock Trailer
Director of Marketing
Managed advertising, marketing, sales management, public relations functions for national specialized truck trailer manufacturer. Managed internal call center. Subsidiary of United Van Lines.
- Negotiated joint venture agreement with UD Trucks and Fruehauf Trailers.
- Single-handedly doubled the number of dealers and more than doubled long-term sales
contracts.
- Made the company profitable for the first time in five years.
- Helped develop two new products. Conducted feasibility studies, market research,
created new promotional literature, etc.

Managed over 50 high-end consultants in marketing, management, strategic planning, and personnel. Supervised market research activities, participated as project manager on all major projects.
