offering them remedial programs to equip them with skills necessary to be
successful in college. Supervised nine faculty members, wrote proposals for
funding, hired, trained and supervised staff.

Employed as a teacher's assistant in public elementary school as part of
college curriculum.
November, 1972 to August, 1973 - Tarrant County Junior College
Worked as outreach recruiter and counselor for Veterans Cost of Instruction
(VCIP) Program. Attended the first conference on Veterans Program sponsored
by the U.S. Department of Health, Education and Welfare. Co-chaired committee
which developed a model out-reach/recruitment program.
