TRAVEL AGENT TRAINING - MODULE I

This online course, along with its companion TRAVEL AGENT TRAINING II, will enable the student to become familiar with the modern-day travel industry, and will act as preparation towards employment in the travel industry. Part one of the course is an introduction to the travel industry, reviews geography, and an in-depth study of the travel product. Covered will be air travel, cruising, ground transportation, hotel and other accommodations and handling of tour groups. The student will receive hands-on practice in the correct procedures to order travel from the airlines, cruise ship purveyors, tour operators and others. To successfully pass the course, the student will be required to successfully navigate through the airline and cruise line channels of travel purchase. This course is approximately six weeks in length.

TRAVEL AGENT TRAINING - MODULE II
(Travel Agent Training I is a pre-requisite)

This online course, when combined with TRAVEL AGENT TRAINING I, will prepare the student to be familiar with the operations and day to day workings of the travel agency. Included is a brief review of course I and additional information on international travel. An in-depth section on marketing travel, advertising and making sales both by the agency and the individual. The student will be required to process a great deal of information from suppliers, and successfully book travel for a business trip, a vacation for a family of four with various origination points, and small group tour involving air, ground transfers and accommodations. The student will gain preparation in finding employment in the travel industry, including but not limited to travel agency work, airlines, bus companies, and cruise ship lines. This course is approximately six weeks in length.
